Race to Erase
Teams of 4 people spend the day travelling throughout Sarnia-Lambton, completing fun-filled challenges. In the past, OLL has acted as a host site and also participated with teams. Each team must raise $500 ($125 per team member). Please visit the Race to Erase website for more information: www.racetoerase.com. Funds raised from Race to Erase support OLL's free Skill and Drill programs  for children.

Harbour Bay Clothing & Gifts Fashion Show
The Harbour Bay Clothing & Gifts Fashion Show takes place every fall. Funds raised from the event support OLL's Give-a-Book Christmas Campaign. For more information about the Fashion Show, contact Harbour Bay Clothing & Gifts at (519) 344-4442 or the OLL office.

Showcase Literacy
Showcase Literacy is one of OLL's most infamous events, wherein a notable author participates in a book reading and signing. Proceeds from the event support OLL's programs and services. In the past, we have welcomed Gary Barwin, George Chuvalo, Red Green, Linden MacIntyre, Rex Murphy and Yann Martel to Sarnia.

Spelling Bee
Every spring, OLL organizes the Annual Sarnia Spelling Bee, in cooperation with the Sarnia-Lakeshore Optimist Club. The Spelling Bee is held at the Sarnia Public Library Auditorium. Students in Grades 3-8 are encouraged to participate in the Spelling Bee. Winners from the event, in Grades 5-8, are invited to participate in the Southwestern Ontario District Optimist Spelling Bee.
